Drew Brees appeared in a gay conversion camp video in 2019. This is a fact that keeps getting dismissed. He defended it too. And now he is being celebrated as he is retired. I find myself asking why? Would we have let Patrick Mahomes, an African-American quarterback, get away with a similar transgression? Dear Lord, We live in a world full of caring people. Everyone has their own lives and concerns and it is easy to dismiss others. It is hard enough just thinking about ourselves and those close to us. It takes energy to acknowledge others. Please help feed us with energy. Please give us energy for action in dealing with others and to do more than just think about others. -Daniel DuBay
